Holiday Gift Guide 2021: Dungeons and Dragons

Sorry to post here last minute, guys. I know I won't give you a lot of time to snatch these treasures before the holidays, but I only have...well, nothing. I am very forgetful lately. Therefore, please accept my apologies, and hope you can find something in this list for the D&D players in your life.

This is the 2021 Holiday Gift Guide: Dungeons and Dragons Edition.

Probably my favorite "module" style source book, from any published 5E book. I mean, it has a place in the library, or is directly connected to it. As a bibliophile, this is totally my jam. As the level and experience of the character increase, there are a lot of adventures that will gradually increase the difficulty. A set of interesting playable adventures, but more importantly, it has the potential to be a reference and resource for all parties as they are constantly changing during the campaign. The possibilities are endless!

Van Richten's Ravenloft Guide

This year is a new work in the Ravenloft world, as well as a full expansion of the already powerful planes of darkness and terror. This book will provide dungeon owners and players with more things to enhance their dark battles. The new background and power items are a great tease for the party, but the added monsters and encounters will make any DM's eyes sparkle. I have done a full review of this here, and it must be the curse of Strahd that was released last year: a valuable companion work for the improved premium version.

Dungeon Master's Screen Dungeon Kit

This game has changed a lot since I first started. The kit includes things that we have to make ourselves, or just hope that we can go back to the old days of Basic and AD&D. Landform cards can help create or expand dungeons in a short period of time. This includes encounter cards, condition cards, etc. They even have their own storage boxes. I like the idea of using different DM screens for different activities or settings. The standard usually has only a small amount of relevant data available for any particular situation.

The Wilderness Beyond Witch's Light

You may be familiar with Carnival, but this carnival is far beyond your imagination. It is not necessarily evil, but it is certainly dangerous in many ways. This gateway to another dimension is a divided field. But unlike most adventures, you can gain experience by solving problems instead of killing monsters. It's not that these are all brains, but there are also many physical dangers. You can get more detailed information by reading my review.

Witchlight Carnival Dice & Miscellany

The set of accessories for this Witchlight game includes 11 dice (two d20, one d12, two d10, one d8, four d6, one d4), a cool two-part dice box, a map and a lot of reference cards. For those interested, this is not a necessity, but a spectacular addition. The dice are a gorgeous translucent orange, and when you lift them to the light, it mimics a flashlight. This is not in the description, but my assessment of the dice that Wizards sent me.

Fizban's Dragon Treasure

First of all, if you are not familiar with the name Fizban, please read Dragonlance Chronicles now. Now that we have solved the problem, this is the most comprehensive compilation of dragons and dragons I have ever seen. It includes many types from some unremarkable places. It's not just statistics. A detailed classification of the games of the same name and numerous ways to incorporate them into your story and game. I like to read this brochure, you can read it here.

Strixhaven: The chaotic course

The last major book to be released this year will be a crossover between Dungeons and Dragons and Magic The Gathering. Combining their two franchises again, Wizards of the Coast used the knowledge of the two games to create something bigger than the sum of the two. Strixhaven University has five different schools, and this book contains four adventures, once every academic year. New player characteristics, spells, items. A good addition to each series.

Last year, I showed you some cool metal dice sets suitable for gamers in your life. Now I want to introduce to you the gift my wife bought for me. The bad boy weighs about one pound and is about 2 inches in diameter. Rolling percentiles are unrealistic, unnecessary, and severely overcorrected. In other words, this is definitely the coolest mold I have. Buy one for yourself and one for friends.

This amazing dice bag comes from an Etsy store called TheMailleManStore. The artist made me an oversized one with a red lantern symbol on it, which can make almost anything you want. They make these to order, but I show you one of the more basic designs they make. There are a lot of material costs and a lot of man-hours, but the price is very reasonable. It's definitely something you won't see on every gaming table. One of the more unique RPG gifts given out.

Magic: Gathering: The Plane of the Multiverse: Visual History

Magic: The Gathering The official visual guide to fantasy worlds and legends

The many planes of Magic: The legendary multiverse has become the host of countless epic battles and dramatic disasters-each world has a rich and unique population, with its own fantasy creatures, iconic characters and legends Planeswalker. In Magic: The Gathering: The Multiverse Plane, author Jay Annelly presents a visual guide to the history behind the lore from the invasion of Phyrexia to the War of the Spark, as well as Kahn, Nasset, The roles of Vraska and Thorin are profiled by Markov and other fans' favorite planeswalkers.

The planes of Multiverse pair the original artwork (in many cases the first copy outside the card frame) with detailed primers for each plane. The series provides exclusive insights into some of the art and mythology of Magic: The Gathering's most popular and enduring region and the characters that live in it.
