From Paramount and eOne, the upcoming  Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves live-action movie just unveiled its rogue gallery of characters and monsters in a brand new trailer that debuted at its San Diego Comic-Con panel.

The new trailer leans into the comedy, promising an epic adventure with creatures, magic, and humor. Think a buddy comedy with fantastical monsters over serious fantasy, with a whole lot of dragons.

The Dungeons & Dragons movie will release in theaters in March 2023.

The film follows “a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.”

The film features an original story but is set in the Forgotten Realms, an iconic fantasy setting central to the Dungeons & Dragons game franchise and beyond.

The cast is impressive; Chris Pine stars alongside Michelle Rodriguez (Resident Evil), Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Hugh Grant, and Sophia Lillis (It, It Chapter Two, Gretel & Hansel). Each of them will take on an iconic class featured within the realm of Dungeons & Dragons. Pine, for example, takes on the Bard, and Lillis represents the Druid, a magical entity with the ability to transform into an OwlBear.

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, co-directors of 2018’s hilarious comedy Game Night and writers of Spider-Man: Homecoming, are directing.

Goldstein and Francis Daley also wrote the script.

Designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, Dungeons & Dragons was first published in 1974. Between 2000 and 2012, three Dungeons & Dragons films were released. Dungeons & Dragons was first adapted to theaters in 2000 and starred Jeremy Irons and Thora Birch.

Suretone Pictures and Lionsgate are co-financing Suretone’s adventure/horror film Creepers, based on the bestselling 2005 book of the same name by David Morrell, and today they’ve announced the cast for the upcoming film – including horror mainstay Javier Botet!

Creepers is the story of a group of young urban explorers who plan to investigate an old, boarded up, seemingly abandoned hotel, only to encounter danger at every turn in the form of a competing group of hostile urban explorers seeking to find a legendary hidden treasure as well as a supernatural being who wreaks havoc on all.

Jake Manley (Midway), Adeline Rudolph (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Francesca Reale (“Stranger Things”), Laurence O’Faurain (“Vikings”), Nicholas Hamilton (It: Chapter Two), Javier Botet (REC, The Conjuring 2), Skylan Brooks (“The Get Down”), and Kai Caster (“American Horror Story”) will star. Here’s the breakdown for the actors and their roles…

Filming began this week in Bulgaria, with the film being directed by Marc Klasfeld, the legendary music video and commercial director who is making his feature film debut.
