Why is it a hat? DICE explained that without it, “the farm server will eventually fill the server browser with a worthless experience.” Preventing endless XP spam through the one-minute limit can solve this problem. Similarly, ribbons and mastery (including weapon attachments) cannot be obtained in custom games. You can only unlock the "Total War, Danger Zone, and Official Portal Experience".
