British stone. Paul-Transportation officials are working to create the second American bike lane in Minnesota.

Minnesota currently has U.S. 45 cycle lane, also known as the Mississippi River Trail. Now, MnDOT officials hope to designate a second bike route from St. Cloud to Fargo/Moorhead. The USBR 20 route will branch off from the Beaver Island Trail/Mississippi River Trail (USBR 45) in St. Cloud and drive northwest to the Minnesota/North Dakota border in Moorhead.

The route will use Lake Wobegon Trail, Central Lakes Trail, trails in other areas, and even the shoulders.

USBR 20 will connect to points of interest, parks, campsites and several cities along the way.

MnDOT is looking for feedback on the draft route and suggestions on the name of the route.

The survey response will be closed on Sunday, December 19.

The U.S. bicycle lane system is a nationwide long-distance bicycle lane network. It was established in 1978 by the National Highway and Transportation Officials Association.
