While we are waiting for the 3.1 update of Battlefield 2042, DICE has released a quick question and answer about the game! More specifically, there are short and sweet answers to frequently asked questions about XP limits, earning rates, weapon proficiency, and even why farm servers are disapproved by the studio.

Can you earn XP in the battlefield portal?

All our featured modes are the same as CQ and BT in Total War. Earn XP at full price, unlock new weapons, ribbons and accessories, and your mastery progress.

What is the characteristic mode?

This is what you see when you enter #Battlefield Portal for the first time. It is a combination of an official creation experience (such as Rush) and a community creation experience for which we provide full matching highlights (such as Stodeh's Snipers & Knives)

How about XP in a custom experience?

XP can be obtained through the experience created by the community. With it, you will upgrade and unlock new gadgets, vehicles and weapons. We re-enabled this feature after being careful and turning it off

Will the XP earned by playing custom games decrease?

XP has an upper limit per minute, and the upper limit is reset every minute. If you trigger the cap, it will not prevent you from earning XP after triggering. The mode designed to play normally is to a large extent rewards the same as the overall XP you get in CQ or BT.

Why set the XP limit in the custom experience?

We hope that "Battlefield Portal" encourages players to create interesting and creative experiences.

If there is no upper limit, the farm server will eventually fill the server browser with a worthless experience, and we hope to prevent this.

Will I still receive ribbons and end-of-round performance in the customized experience?

The ribbon is currently not available in Custom.

Completion and victory rewards are the same as other modes, and account for the largest percentage of XP earned in the entire game

Can I get the progress of mastery customization?

nothing now. The mastery rewards are meant to demonstrate commitment, and we will not change this until we determine whether we can establish further protection measures.

Proficiency can be obtained in the official portal experience.

Are weapon attachments considered part of the mastery?

they are. Currently, these will only be unlocked in Total War, Danger Zone, and the official portal experience.

Will you adjust the XP limit?

We are indeed. We raised the upper limit last week, and as more and different customized experiences begin to populate the server browser, we will monitor and make beneficial adjustments as much as possible.

Why are you against farm servers?

It's not fun, the farm server prevents the established community from hosting interesting events, and people can't run an experience that better reflects the experience they want. They are boring and exploitative, and we don't want them.
