I hope you have started making a marathon for your favorite Christmas movie! If you haven't already, Hopewell Theatre can meet your needs. They showed several classic films at the upcoming holiday film festival.
Starting Saturday, December 18th, the theater on Greenwood Avenue in Hopewell, New Jersey will show seven holiday movies for you to enjoy. The festival will end on December 30th.
Tickets can be purchased on the theater's website. According to their Instagram, they waived the $5 COVID impact fee.
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday, December 18 at 1 p.m.
I have never had a chance to see this on a big screen, but I think this is a gorgeous movie in a super large size. Prepare your hot chocolate!
Saturday, December 18 at 4 p.m.
Christmas story? In the theater? Oh fffuuuuuudddgggeee, this sounds great!
(But I did not say "fudge")
Sunday, December 19 at 2 p.m.
To clarify, they showed a live-action remake of 2000, featuring Jim Carrey as Grinch, Taylor Mawson as Cindy Lou, and Christine Baransky as the shocking horny neighbor.
Sunday, December 26 at 2 p.m.
If you are taking the whole family to see this, make sure everyone knows the *true* story of Santa Claus.
It's easy to forget the sad story told by the character of Phoebe Cates, but it contains some Christmas spoilers...if you know what I mean.

I know, I know, this is not Christmas, but it is still a fascinating movie. Enjoy comedy performances by Steve Martin and John Candi.

Good luck not citing this movie for the rest of the week, almost every line is a gem.
Thursday, December 30, 7 p.m.
This is a great way to end the movie marathon. Don't worry about the extra holiday weight, you will laugh at Griswolds, which is actually a kind of exercise.
Please note that due to the COVID-19 safety protocol, a mask must be worn in the building.
